Many major cruise lines offer discounts and benefits for active and retired military personnel as well as first responders which include: nurses, doctors, firefighters, ambulance personnel. These can include reduced fares, onboard credits, or special offers.

 

Cruise lines with military discounts include:

Carnival Cruise Line: Offers special low rates on many sailings for military members. 

Royal Caribbean: Provides discounted rates on specific sailings for active and retired military personnel and their spouses. 

Norwegian Cruise Line: Offers a military appreciation program with discounts, such as 10% off fares, for eligible U.S. and Canadian military members and veterans. 

Princess Cruises: Provides up to $250 in onboard spending credit for eligible U.S. and Canadian military members, which can be used for things like dining, shopping, and shore excursions. 

Celebrity Cruises: Offers discounts on select sailings, such as $25 off interior and ocean-view cabins and $100 off balcony cabins and above for the first two guests in a stateroom. 

MSC Cruises: Provides special rates, including a 5% discount on inside/ocean-view cabins and a 10% discount on balcony/suite cabins for active and retired U.S. military personnel and their families. 

Holland America Line: Offers military discounts, which may include onboard credit of around $100 per person. 

Disney Cruise Line: Has offered military discounts, often as a specific onboard credit on select sailings, which can be a great option for families. 

Cunard Line: Offers military discounts, including limited-time reduced rates and onboard credit, depending on the cruise. 

Margaritaville at Sea: Offers military deals and benefits. 

Virgin Voyages: Provides military deals. 

 

For first responders, some lines offer direct discounts on fares, while others provide perks like onboard credit. 

The following cruise lines offer first responder discounts:

Offers a special appreciation program for first responders, which can include up to $100 in onboard credit per stateroom. 
Has limited-time special offers for first responders and medical professionals. 
Has a "Heroes Sail Free" program for first responders, which may require a paid companion. 
Offers special rates for police officers and firefighters, which vary by sailing. 
Provides discounts for first responders through its Military and First Responder Appreciation program. 
Provides discounts on select sailings for certain law enforcement and first responder roles, often available through specific agencies. 
Offers exclusive discounts for first responders on select sailings. 
 
To get the discount, you will need to show proof of your first responder status, such as an ID badge at the time of booking and/or at check-in. Discounts and eligibility can vary between cruise lines, so it's important to review the specific terms and conditions for each offer. Some discounts may be easier to access through a specific booking channel, such as a travel agent or the cruise line's direct phone line.
